Your use of the LSI Website is conditional on your agreement with the terms and conditions herein (the “Terms and Conditions”) and your continued use of it signifies agreement with them in their entirety.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as they affect your legal rights and set out the Terms and Conditions on which LSI, the London School of Insurance ("us", "we", "LSI"), allow you to use the LSI website and the information in it.

All supplies and services sold by LSI, whether purchased through the LSI Website online or offline in any form, are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

LSI reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such change in these Terms and Conditions will be effective once reflected in the text of the Terms and Conditions and published on the LSI website or Offline. You should check these Terms and Conditions periodically to ensure that you are aware of, and complying with, the current version.

 

Cancellation and Termination

In accordance with The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have the right of cancellation as regards the supplies and services sold by LSI, which right (subject to the Regulations) expires fourteen calendar days from the day on which your order for supplies or services is accepted by LSI. Acceptance for courses/examinations shall be considered as having taken place when you, or a person or persons nominated by you, are given access to the course(s)/examination(s).

If you wish to cancel, you must notify LSI by email (accounts@londonschoolofinsurance.com). Where supplies have been received by you, or a person or persons nominated by you, prior to such cancellation they must be returned to LSI, in the condition in which they were supplied to you, at your expense. Reimbursement for any payments made by you in connection with the cancellation will be sent to you within fourteen days of our receipt of your notice of cancellation or from our receipt of the supplies.

IMPORTANT: No right of cancellation or refund is available in respect of ebooks or any other electronic download of the supplies or services once the download has started. You acknowledge that, by commencing the download of the supplies or services, and your right to cancel under 29(1) of the Regulations will be lost.

LSI shall have the right to unilaterally suspend provision of the services or terminate the contract at any time if it appears that you have not complied with these Terms and Conditions.

 

Cookies

The main use of cookies is to assist your use of the LSI Website, and your access to Restricted areas without entering your username and password every time.

 

Data Protection & Privacy

LSI will do its best to protect the privacy of its customers and students.

 

Disputes

The interpretation, construction, effect and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English Law, and you and we expressly agree to submit any dispute to the exclusive jurisdiction and determination of the English courts.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall confer any benefit on, or be enforceable by, any person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.

 

Force Majeure

LSI reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend its obligations to you under circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, storms, plant breakdown, strikes, lock outs, riot, hostilities, non-availability of material or suppliers or any other event reasonably deemed to fall under Force Majeure, and it shall not be held liable for any breach of contract or in tort resulting from such an event.

IMPORTANT: LSI shall not be liable for ANY loss, financial loss, damage, expense, costs, delays or any other liability whatsoever which you may incur as a result of any event beyond our control or genuine error (including without limitation any failure of transmission, communication, computer or other facilities or your inability to access the LSI Website for any reason or any failure, error or delay in the sending or receiving of any notice or communication or instruction through the post or any electronic medium).

 

Intellectual Property Rights

All Intellectual Property Rights and goodwill in Offline publications or relating to the contents of the LSI Website belong to either LSI or its suppliers.

Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions or the LSI Website should be construed as granting by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any licence or right to use any of the courses, supplies or trademarks other than for your exclusive personal use without our express, written permission.

IMPORTANT: Your use of the LSI Website:

You may download and/or print manuals or extracts from the LSI Website solely for your personal use. Any other use is expressly prohibited.

You may not copy or otherwise incorporate into, or store in, any other website, electronic retrieval system, publication or any other work any of the content or contents of the LSI Website in ANY form.

You may not frame or link to the LSI Website or any part of it without our express written permission.

By logging in to the LSI Website and creating your user profile, you confirm that the e-mail address you have provided is solely accessible by you and is secure from any external third-party access.

LSI will take reasonable care to ensure that the information on the LSI Website and its courses are relevant and accurate. However, it cannot warrant the accuracy of that information and cannot be held liable for any use you make or reliance you place on it, except as may be specifically agreed in writing with LSI.

Access to, and use of, the LSI Website is at your own risk and LSI does not warrant that the use of the Website or any material downloaded from it will not cause damage to any property, including but not limited to loss of data or computer virus infection.

 

Payment

When you offer to purchase any supplies or services from LSI you agree to these Terms and Conditions. By completing and submitting your offer to LSI for the purchase of supplies or services, your offer, if accepted by LSI, will result in a binding contract. LSI reserves the right to refuse your offer, in which case you will be notified accordingly.

The Price, in British pounds sterling, may be paid by credit or charge/debit card or bank transfer if that option is made available. The Price will be deducted from your card if and when LSI has accepted your order. If your order is not accepted by LSI, you will be informed accordingly.

 

Price

The Price means the price for the supplies or services, inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices quoted by LSI are in British pounds sterling. Prices quoted in other currencies will be for information only. Supplies and services must be paid in British pounds sterling. LSI will not accept liability for ANY local taxes or charges, including currency conversion charges applied by your bank or payment processor. Where additional postage charges may result, they will be communicated and agreed in advance between the parties.

 

Purchasing Supplies and Services

The information you supply to us to purchase LSI supplies and services shall be accurate, complete and true.  Please review it carefully before you make payment.

If LSI accepts your offer and enters into a contract with you, LSI will keep a record of the transaction(s) in accordance with our documentation policy or as may be legally required.

 

Vexatious and Abusive Communication and Behaviour

Our employees and people undertaking work on our behalf will not be subjected to harassment and will not engage with customers or students who become abusive or whose complaints/enquiries are vexatious. Repeated complaints/enquiries from people who are abusive or vexatious may result in a complaint/enquiry taking longer to complete than necessary. LSI reserves the right to cease to communicate with a customer or student about a particular matter, or at all, if that communication is considered by LSI at its sole discretion to be abusive or vexatious. All forms of communication whether by email, letter, telephone or face to face, will be covered by this policy.

 

Warranties and Liability

LSI will make every reasonable effort to provide the supplies or services with reasonable skill and care. Except as otherwise provided in these Terms and Conditions, all warranties, representations and undertakings, whether express or implied, statutory or otherwise, including but not limited to warranties of satisfactory quality, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and of non-infringement of the rights of a third party, are hereby excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect a party’s statutory rights under UK law.

The liability of LSI (if any) under these Terms and Conditions in respect of any defect in the supplies or services or of any duty owed to you under these Terms and Conditions will be strictly limited to the Price paid by you.
